 Are Schools Killing Creativity?

I recently found on another website an interesting presentation at a TED conference by Sir Ken Robinson entitled 'Do Schools Kill Creativity'?  What Robinson says is that schools are educating children out of creativity and that schools fail to realise and cater for talents that do not hold 'status' and are undervalued by our society. He also states that when a child does not learn in a certain way (read: a normal way), we tend to think there might be a learning impairment or that the child is off task and fooling around. It really made me think about my own school days, my own learning style.

It was quite an interesting piece, clever and witty. Its worth a look.
